Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong (Habitat Hong Kong) is seeking a talented individual for the roles of Assistant Manager / Officer, Programmes. You will play an integral role in running our domestic programmes in Hong Kong. Working collaboratively with the Partnerships Development Team and Finance Team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring efficient and impactful local programmes, while effectively managing key relationships with beneficiaries, volunteers, NGO and other programme delivery partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Programme Coordination and Implementation
- Support the Programmes Manager to develop and execute, strategically aligned and impactful domestic programmes.
- Provide end-to-end support for assigned domestic programmes, including providing pre-, during and post-activity coordination and administrative tasks including all relevant beneficiary, NGO and construction partner preparation, liaising with and coordinating volunteers where necessary.
- Ensure quality control, excellent standards and risk management policies are consistently applied to all domestic programmes and ensure that all programme stakeholders, operate in a highly professional manner exemplifying Habitat guidelines, standards and mission.
- Support project reporting and data gathering for impact measurement.
- Undertake and oversee the development and implementation of special projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Programme Design and Development
- Support the development and implementation of the digital assessment and resource platform.
- Support and deliver project impact measurement (e.g. data collection) and project communications (e.g. beneficiary stories, resource platform development).
- Ensure key Habitat policies, practices, and standards of excellence are systematically embedded into programme design and delivery. These should include but are not limited to; quality control, risk management, safeguarding, and DEI design principles.
Communications and Awareness Raising
- Work closely with our Marketing Communications Team, and Partnerships Team through gathering and sharing content programmatic impact stories and content, to ensure the consistent delivery of engaging stories to encourage support from donors, volunteers, media, and strategic stakeholders.
People Management (for the Assistant Manager role)
- As an Assistant Manager, you may be called upon to line manage project support staff. You will be supportive of the employee experience of your direct reports including the provision of objective setting, performance management, coaching, work safety, growth mindset, professional development, and capacity building opportunities.
Other
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Note: The role, whilst clearly defined, is part of a fast-moving and evolving organisation and as such, the related responsibilities may need to adapt as the team grows. Qualifications, Skills Experience:
Qualifications
Assistant Manager:
- Degree holder in any disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of experience in planning, executing, monitoring evaluating projects, preferably with volunteer / beneficiary programmes for NGO.
Officer:
- Higher Diploma / Associate Degree / Degree holder in any disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting project planning, administration support executing programmes.
- Candidates with more working experience will be considered as Senior Officer
- Candidates who are passionate about working in the non-profit sector, with relevant experience from other sectors, are also welcome to apply.
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Demonstrate thoughtful and analytical approach in planning, organizing executing projects and programmes, using your insights to inform mitigation actions and thinking creatively to pre-empt potential challenges.
- Able to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the elderly service landscape in HK, programme development, impact measurement and proposal writing.
- Well organised, detail-oriented passionate for executing programmes with excellence.
- Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and comfortable working across and with multiple cultures.
Languages
- Fluent in Cantonese
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Digital
- Proficiency in PC operations (MS based applications. English and Chinese word processing).
- Knowledge of database programmes such as SalesForce / Monday.com preferred.
- Able to early adopt and is interested in finding digital solutions to streamline operations.
Working Hours:
- Whilst we have flexible working options, you will need to be available to work during the weekends as is required according to project needs
