Reports to: Assistant Manager, Individual Giving
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Individual Giving, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong’s Individual Giving strategy across multiple channels and play a crucial role in raising awareness of Habitat’s mission, growing its supporter base, and generating unrestricted funds.
You will support various initiatives that deepen our engagement with existing monthly donors and individual supporters, as well as enable us to acquire and cultivate new donors. Your donor-centric approach to administering our database of individual supporters will help us to reduce attrition and ensure the organisation delivers excellent stewardship at every level of Individual Giving, including Major Gifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Individual Giving
- Increase individual gifts through enhancing the supporter donor journey.
- Work with Marketing & Communications colleagues to implement a multi-channelled approach to maximise the reach to a range of audiences.
- Support the development of the required tools and mechanisms to deepen engagement with individual donors and facilitate their fundraiser experience.
- Work across teams to raise the profile of Habitat Hong Kong and its appeals and fundraising activities.
- Support the implementation of creative and innovative initiatives to scale up Individual Giving, including through events and face to face fundraising.
Donor data analysis and reporting
Analyse the supporter base to provide insightful reports to senior management, using donor data from our CRM to:
- Improve retention of existing monthly donor base.
- Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.
- Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the Habitat Hong Kong’s CRM system.
Stewardship and donor engagement
Support donor stewardship activities to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:
- Handling donor enquiries and cancellations by phone, email or other means and providing a high level of customer service to ensure donor satisfaction at every stage of their journey with Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong.
- Assisting with the production of supporter materials.
Note: The role, whilst clearly defined, is part of a fast-moving and evolving organisation and as such, the related responsibilities may need to adapt as the team grows. Any changes will be discussed with the individual but should be recognised as part of the exciting environment within which Habitat HK operates.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications
- Degree holder in Marketing, Business, Event Management or other related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or sales/marketing/events experience, preferably in the non-profit sector. Candidates who are passionate about working in the non-profit sector and with relevant experience gained from other sectors/industries are also welcome to apply
Skills
- A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to collaborate cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
- Self-motivated, customer-oriented, well-organized, proactive and able to work under pressure.
Experience
- Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention.
- Experience of using databases for donor management (knowledge of Salesforce an advantage).
Languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese with Chinese an essential skillset for this role.
Digital
- Proficient in MS Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing).
Working Hours
- We have flexible working arrangements for all staff. Our work week is Monday-Friday, with staff required to work on some Saturdays/Sundays as is required for specific roles, programme, event and/or project needs.
